WOW,
This Oscar race between The Hurt Locker and Avator is most interesting. I think it is getting a little crazy after reading some of the articles I have read. I of course would like to see Hurt Locker and Jeremy win in all catagories.. I feel kind of bad for all the other films though. C

hi I have a feeling Kathryn will win best director, and maybe best movie for the hurt locker, although because there are 10 movies this year votes will be more even shared and it may go some other unexpected way or very expected to Avatar. But unfortunately I think they'll go for Jeff Bridges as best actor, even though Jeremy so deserves to win. For the simple reason that Jeff is older, has been nominated more times (5 is it?) and they'll see it as his last chance or something like that and Jeremy has more time? What a wonderful surprise will be if he does win it, 'cos I don't think he thinks he has any chances, but we are all rooting for him! ;D

Tell you the truth I just can't wait till the Oscars is over. Between these two (Hurt Locker and Avatar) there is always something about it in everything. It is really annoying. I think one of the main part is because both directors used to be married. Big deal at least they aren't getting at each other throats..that would be interesting if they did but they are more civiled then these media ppls. I do try to find articles about the others but it is so little to find. Of course there is some big topic on one of the those two where the others is just a tiny winy sentence.
You know what it would be interesting if one of those less talked about movies got the awards. That would be a shocker to some but interesting.
For Best Director I want to see Kathryn win. Best Picture Avatar. I have that feeling with that one but I would be pleased if Hurt Locker got it. Best Actor will go to Jeff Bridges. Unless Jeremy pulls an Adrian Brody..that what has been said on Twitter...but I doubt that...who knows.
You know I have to share one of my dreams I had about the Oscars. James Cameron won the Best Director, he refused it and instead called up Kathryn to come and get it but before handing to her and made a speech to the people that they were *censored* out of their minds..something like that and he gave it to her.

I would love to see Kathryn win Best Director, not because she is woman and would be the first woman Director to win the Gold, but because she made one hell of a brilliant movie and deserves all the allocates that come her way. I personally think that The Hurt Locker and Avatar will split the votes and the the Gold will go to Quentin Tarantino for Inglorious Basterds. One never knows how the fickle Academy will pick.

I sincerely hope you are wrong, if that is an option, then I don't care who wins as long as is not Tarantino, he is so way up his own sunless spot... can't stand the guy sorry. After Reservour Dogs and with maybe the exception of Pulp Fiction, is just being downstream Niagara Falls speed

Don't be sorry, to each her own. I would love to see QT win if Kathryn doesn't .
